Sandbar Tee in Estes Park

Sandbar friend Jim uploaded this picture to our Facebook page:

Here's what he had to say about the picture:

There really isn't much of a story about the pic. I was going walkabout in the west with a good friend and ended up in Estes Park for a week. I was trying to find a unique locale for a pic with my Sandbar shirt during the entire journey that hadn't already been posted at the bar. Then there it was!

Thanks, Jim! You're right, this is our first picture from Estes Park.

More Sandbars Around the World

After we posted the picture of the Sandbar in Culebra, we thought we should share a few other Sandbar pictures that have been passed along to us.

The first one was uploaded to our Facebook page by Sandbar fan Doug. It's of the Sandbar in Cabo. We think it looks like fun, and hey- it's in CABO! But Doug assures us "it's got nothing on the real thing!" Thanks, Doug!

The next one is a Sandbar in San Diego, just off Mission Beach. We saw this one Twitter, posted by Jason.

This one looks familiar, but I'm not sure where we might have seen it before. Have you encountered a Sandbar on your travels? Take a picture and send it to us!

Sandbar Culebra

That sounds like a new tropical concoction poured out of one of our machines, doesn't it?

Nope, it's this:

Sandbar culebra
Our friends Phil and Jeannie, parents to former bartender Matt, brought this back for us from Culebra, a Puerto Rican island halfway between Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

We hope they take us along next time!

Sandbar Tee in the Dominican Republic

Our dear friend, customer and float dancer Michelle makes an annual trip to the Dominican Republic. It's not a vacation, although we know she has fun- Michelle is a surgical nurse, and she goes on a mission trip with other doctors and nurses to provide tubal ligations to women in the country.

This is the third year she's taken this particular trip, and of course she took her Sandbar shirt along:

Thanks for the pictures, Michelle! We'll add these to our wall. See last year's pictures of Michelle in the Dominican Republic here.

Sandbar Tee in Kathmandu

Every once in awhile, a new picture of a Sandbar shirt in some faraway land just appears on the wall, with no note or anything. We love those surprises!

This picture was one of them. It's been one the wall for about six months now. I assumed it was from someplace exotic, but had no idea where.

The other day when I was rearranging the wall to make more space for pictures, a couple walked in to take some pictures. While the man was walking around the bar taking pictures, his female companion asked if I was taking all pictures down. I explained what I was doing, and then she pointed to this picture and said "that's him!"

Pretty random that the guy in the picture would walk in, right when I was moving his picture around on the wall! And as it turns out, he had written his name and the place on the back of the picture, so I would have discovered it was taken in Kathmandu in a matter of minutes anyway.

Thanks Warren for sharing the photo with us, and for sporting a Sandbar shirt halfway around the world!

Sandbar Baby

Former bartender Chris (brother to current bartender/doorguy John) and his wife Brooke had their first baby last week! Welcome to the world, Izzy.

When Chris shared their first photos on Facebook, we were excited to see him sporting his Sandbar t-shirt in the hospital. As his little sister Brittany (also a former bartender, though for a very brief period of time) said, "The Sandbar shirt has been all over the U.S. and the world…but has it ever been in a labor and delivery?"

Since we have no proof otherwise, we're going with no. As far as we know, this is the first time the Sandbar shirt was there to welcome a brand new baby into the world. We've already gifted little miss Izzy with her very first Sandbar onesie.

Congratulations, Chris and Brooke!
