I didn’t get much of a response when I asked a few days ago for suggestions about a new poll, but I came up with one on my own. For quite awhile we’ve been talking about different quotes and phrases to print on the back of the Sandbar logo shirts. A long time ago we had our own slogan on the back: “We can’t change your latitude, but we can sure change your attitude!” Lots of people loved this one, and lots of people have asked for us to do it again, and maybe we will sometime. But we’d like to do something different, too.
Matt put together a really good list of lots of ideas awhile back. Of course I couldn’t find it tonight when I wanted it. But I did manage to come up with a few options for you to choose from. My favorite one is “Come back after a few beers.” I saw that one on a shirt Friday night and thought it was pretty funny. But don’t let me influence you. Please cast your vote for your favorite- and the quote with the most votes will end up on the next shirt we print.
Edited: I’m an idiot. I published this post about a new ‘random question’….but I forgot to actually publish the poll which asked the random question. Though apparently no one even noticed, because there are no sarcastic comments about it. I guess that means no one really reads this?

If you’ve been following this blog from the beginning, you probably remember the ‘random questions’ we posed over to the right of this page. They were fun questions- at least I thought they were:
What’s your favorite Bahama Mama toy?
What was your favorite Sandbar float?
What’s the best night to go to The Sandbar?
We got some responses, never a large number, but responses nonetheless. It’s been a long time since we had a question for our readers. Mostly because I couldn’t think of anything to ask. But it was fun to put the polls together and view the responses, so it’s time to do another one.
But I still can’t think of a question, so you’ll have to help me out. Pick a question, any question. Well, not really any question, it should probably relate to The Sandbar and it definitely should be family friendly.
Send your questions my way and I’ll pick my favorite for the next “random question.”

What’s your favorite night to go to The Sandbar?
We posed this question to our many thousands of readers, and you overwhelmingy voted for St. Patrick’s Day! No surprise to me, that’s my favorite day and night at the bar, too.
St. Patrick’s Day is busy all day long. The bar usually opens around 11 a.m. to accommodate the pre-parade partiers. It’s non-stop fun as soon as the doors open. Distributors and marketers always have promotional items for us, so we have prizes to give away all day too. By the time the parade is over, there’s a line at the door. In fact, when the popular Sandbar parade float returns with it’s performers, there’s barely room for the stars of the float to go inside!
The bar stays busy into the wee hours of the night. And this year, St. Patrick’s Day is on a Saturday, so we anticipate even larger crowds than normal. Stay tuned for more information on our annual holiday!
