We know you've all been waiting for these!
We have brand new, limited edition, 20th birthday celebration shirts arriving soon. They will be available beginning on Saturday at our birthday party.
There are two different designs, although at first glance they might look the same. One shirt has the outside of the building on it, and the other one has a rendition of the interior bar. We got so excited about this artwork and couldn't choose between the two, so we thought we might as well just order both.
The shirt itself is a pale yellow shirt, which we haven't had in many years. They are available in sizes small through double-extra-large, and each shirt is $15.
This fantastic artwork was created by the folks at Hasty Awards in Ottawa, KS- the home of our second Sandbar location.
We know that many of you won't be able to attend the party this weekend. You can order a shirt by mail order- just send an email to us at sandbar@thesandbar.com, and let us know what shirt, how many, and what sizes you need. We can accept payment by credit card or Paypal. Shipping and handling is $5 for the first shirt, and $1 extra for each additional shirt. Plus, we'll throw in some fun Sandbar surprises!

One of our funniest and most popular shirts is back in stock.
The "Small But Fun" Sandbar shirt made it's debut last year on the day of KU's annual graduation ceremony. The staff wore them while serving drinks to Blair, Chris, and Joe's graduation party-goers.
They've been in stock a few times since that first run, but not for quite some time. The other night after a customer offered cash for the shirt off John's back (he didn't take it), Dave decided it was time to bring them back.
He spent yesterday afternoon holed up in the tiny printing closet upstairs, and now you can have your very own funny Sandbar shirt. These are $15 each and we have sizes small through double extra large.
We also now have plain red short sleeved shirts with the large Sandbar logo on the front; these are just $12 each.
On that note, overheard today: "Just a little bit more."

Congratulations to all of our friends and customers who might be graduating this May!
If you are graduating from KU this Sunday, you need to have a souvenir Sandbar t-shirt to remember all your fun times here. Heck, even if you aren't graduating, you need a Sandbar shirt.
Dave just printed up a new batch of royal blue shirts with a white Sandbar logo on the front- this shirt is probably our most popular one. We're hoping to have some red ones available by this weekend too.
The logo t-shirts are just $12- an inexpensive reminder of a whole lot of fun! We also still have a few other varieties of shirts in stock right now. Pretty soon we'll also have a special edition, 20th anniversary shirt ready for our fans.

For you last minute shoppers, The Sandbar can help you out. We just got two new t-shirts in stock. The design will probably look familiar- it's my favorite Sandbar building design that the folks down at Ottawa's Hasty Awards created- only this time it's on a colored shirt. Two different colors, actually.
As much as I loved the original shirt, it seems like people don't really buy white t-shirts anymore. For such a great design, the shirts didn't sell out as quickly as I thought they might. So, rather than scrap the design, we decided to try putting it on a colored t-shirt to see if they would sell better.
The staff at Hasty sent proofs of the design on several different t-shirt colors, and these are the two winners.
The first one is a lovely Bahama Mama shade called Paprika:
And the other one is a more guy-friendly color called Prairie Dust:
We have lots of these shirts in sizes small through 2XL. They're $15 each and even come in their very own ziploc freezer bag. This was originally to keep the shirts from soaking up the smell of cigarette smoke; we don't have that issue anymore thanks to the smoking ban, but we've found the shirts are easier to store and stay cleaner in the bags.

The Sandbar has brand new ballcaps in stock, just in time for the gift-giving holidays.
The hats are the flex-fit, one-size-fits-all type hats, not the adjustable kind, and are marked as size L/XL. They're black with "SB" embroidered on the front in red and blue, with a likeness of our tiki head in between the "S" and the "B". Our website address is embroidered on the back. You can thank Dave and Andrew for the cool color scheme.

Every once in awhile we get requests for Sandbar baby onesies. They aren't a regularly stocked item, but after we get enough requests to make it worth our while to print some, we do. Because really, doesn't every baby want to grow up and visit The Sandbar?
The recently requested ones have been doled out to the requestors, and we have some left over. All of the onesies are white with black Sandbar logo on the front. And, they're tagless! We have the following available:
- Long-sleeved, size Medium, Carter's brand. The "tag" imprint says this size will fit babies who are 12.5-16.5 lbs.
- Long-sleeved, size Extra Large, Carter's brand. There is no size guideline on this one, and I have no idea about baby sizes.
- Short-sleeved, size 3-6 months, Gerber brand. Although this says 3-6 months, it looks awfully small.
These aren't at the bar yet but should be sometime this weekend. They're $8 each. If you're interested, either leave a comment or send an email, or stop by the bar next week.
