We have a new pint glass for Valentine's Day!
Last fall we decided to ask our friends and fans to help us come up with designs for our popular pint glasses, and we've had a great response. Susan gave us fantastic ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas glasses, and now thanks to Alison, we have a great new glass for Valentine's Day.

We'll be looking for new ideas for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and eventually, Graduation- so if you have ideas, send them to us! Even if you can't draw, send us your idea and Dave can put it together. You'll be rewarded with a pack of pint glasses, a feature on our blog and our undying gratitude.

Our pint glasses are a popular item, especially on Tropical Thursdays. We like to change the design on the glasses to match holidays or other events, but we don't always have time to create the artwork.
We know there are lots of talented Sandbar fans out there, so we want to use your artistic abilities!
Here's what we're looking for:
- Thanksgiving/turkey-themed design
- Christmas/winter holiday-themed design
- New Year's Eve design
The designs are printed in a single color, so we need a black and white design. It needs to be a line art drawing with no shading or other complicated techniques. The design also needs to be simple- these are small images that are printed onto glass, so lots of tiny details will get lost. You don't have to be a professional artist to do this!
Clip art is fine or an original hand-drawn design works too. You can see some past examples here, here and here.
Send your submission to us at sandbar@thesandbar.com. Submit something for one holiday or all three, we don't care.
We'll either let our staff choose the winners, or we might let the fans vote. Submitting your design to us gives us the right to use it; we're not going to deal with fancy copyright and trademark issues. But, we'll compensate you with a pack of pint glasses or some other prize, our undying gratitude and the chance to be known to other Sandbar fans!

A new year and decade is here, and so is more snow.
What did everyone do for New Year's Eve? Our White Trash party was fun, we'll have some stories and pictures tomorrow.
For those of you who like to collect our pint glasses, we have a special New Year glass in stock right now.
The design was created by our friends at Grandstand. The Santa gnome was provided by our friend Tierney, it's not a new drink toy- sorry! Pint glasses are $3 each, and you can bring yours in every Thursday for $2 tropical drink refills.
And good news for the Shark Attack fans- the original sharks are back in stock!

Now that we're almost ten months into our 20th year of existence, we thought it might be fun to have commemorative pint glasses. So we're a little slow. We can celebrate 20 years as long as we want though.
Our friends at Grandstand worked on a design for us that's similar to our birthday t-shirt design. (We still have lots of those left in large, so if you want one, let us know. We'll ship).
Dave picked up the new glasses yesterday and put them in circulation last night for Tropical Thursday. Pick yours up for $3 anytime, and bring it in on Thursdays for $2 tropical drink refills.
